The first Festival della Montagna Fiorentina, two weeks of events and activities celebrating life and culture of the middle mountains in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, only 40 minutes from Florence.
Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of festive villages, enlivened by rich music and art programmes, outdoor activities, and a feast of local flavors among the cool vegetation of the Casentino Forests National Park.
Spend an evening with your family, take a weekend getaway, or become a temporary resident by staying at a free camp site and working in a coworking space for free. Children are also welcome, with a variety of cultural and fun activities.
Concerts and most other events are free to attend, except for dinners and aperitivi. Reservations are required for some events due to limited attendance.
THE 2024 EDITION
The first edition of the Festival took place from 16 to 23 June 2024 in Londa and from 15 to 21 July 2024 in San Godenzo.
In Londa, the festival welcomed us with a friendly embrace. We explored nature trails on guided hikes, learned how to make pasta with Anna, dined at long tables in the piazza, participated in a musical trek, practised yoga in nature and much more. We were inspired by art walks and, when the sun went down, enjoyed concerts under the stars.
In San Godenzo, the programme was enriched with adventures and discoveries: trekking, mountain biking and walks in the woods and marronete. We listened to the stories of experts and mountain enthusiasts, participated in creative workshops for children and experienced the thrilling sunrise on Mount Falco.

A festival born on the territory for the territory
The Festival della Montagna Fiorentina, at its first edition in 2024, offers a rich programme of activities, most of them offered by the local communities to make themselves known and open up to curious travellers, mountain and village lovers.
A rich and widespread programme that enhances the cultural, landscape and culinary offerings of the territory, contaminating them with fresh and original contents and languages.
In addition to the two main localities of Londa and San Godenzo, numerous surrounding hamlets play a leading role, offering a unique opportunity to explore or rediscover them.

The Montagna Fiorentina

A story that comes to life from the deep love of the inhabitants for their land, supported by the determination of the administrators and the active participation of citizens, local businesses and associations. With the support of European funding NextGenerationEU and the NRRP Culture, the Montagna Fiorentina project aims to tackle the economic and social challenges typical of inland areas, promoting regeneration and territorial development.
