Stories of Resistance in the Montagna Fiorentina

The local ANPI Antonio Rogai section presents an evening of history, cinema, and memory through talks, video contributions, and stories, to remember together the places and faces that shaped the history of resistance in the Florentine Mountain.
Stories of resistance and presence, yesterday and today, with a look to the future.

Stefano Ballini, director who has retraced events related to the last world conflict through his historical research and images, with a particular focus on the dynamics that characterized the area along the Gothic Line.
Luca Grisolini, political science graduate who has been dealing with events related to World War II for years, focusing on the massacre committed in Vallucciole by Nazi-Fascist troops, retracing the steps leading to one of the most brutal moments suffered by the territory.

At the end of the event, the winning short films of the latest edition of the ANPI Film Festival in Londa will be screened, an international short film festival that aims to promote and spread the language of short films, focusing on sustainable development and social inclusivity and questioning the theme of resistance today. The artistic direction of the latest edition was entrusted to a collective of recent film graduates who demonstrated a strong sensitivity towards young, innovative cinema looking to the future.”
